    Radar at the work point holds the lane your crew can’t. It measures approach speed directly — through rain, dust, glare and dark — against the threshold you set for that zone. Traffic inside the rule passes without a sound.

    The warning reaches the worker

    Vibration, sound and light, on the wrist. It arrives whether the worker is looking up or head-down in the work — and whether or not the driver ever notices the zone.

    The near-miss becomes a record

    Every event is logged with the scene around it — where the vehicle went, where the crew was standing. A line-of-fire near-miss stops being a story told at the end of the shift and becomes a due-diligence record.

    Radar reads through rain, fog, dust, glare, and darkness. Optical sensors degrade in exactly those conditions — and a work zone is dusty, wet, and round-the-clock. An alarm that fails in a dust cloud isn’t an alarm.

    The only thing that matters is whether a vehicle is coming in too fast. Doppler radar measures speed natively, so what sets the warning off is a physical measurement rather than something inferred from video frames. The camera’s work starts after that.

    Trip-line systems, LiDAR among them, work by drawing a line and firing on anything that crosses it — a dump truck easing in reads the same as a car bearing down. RoadDefender doesn’t alert on vehicles it sees; it alerts on vehicles that break the speed threshold your team sets for that zone. Your own trucks, working at work-zone speed, never trip it.

    Pre-cue, then cue

    Break the threshold and a light pre-cue lands — direction and urgency, nothing more. It escalates to the cue to move only if that vehicle keeps closing. Calm by default, loud only when it counts.
